Turkish Cooking Classes

At Learn to Cook Istanbul we want all of our guests to participate in the preparation of all of the food. Class sizes are limited to 7 students so that each guest will have their own work-station in order to make their masterpieces.

Classes are held every day at the Learn to Cook Istanbul atelier from 3pm to 7pm, of which 2.5-3 hours is spent preparing dishes and the remainder of the time is spent learning about Turkish wine and rakı and tasting the dishes. The syllabus for our regular classes is as follows:
  • Introduction to Turkish cuisine with a glass of Turkish tea, Turkish coffee or something stronger
  • 2 meze dishes (Turkish small sharing dishes served cold)
  • 1 hot starter
  • 1 main course
  • Dessert
  • Introduction to Turkish Wine and Rakı

We offer guests a complimentary tasting of local white, rose and red wines and for those who are brave enough, rakı to go with the delicious food that we prepare together.

It would make us very happy if you try to make the dishes that you learnt at Learn to Cook Istanbul at home. For us, this workshop is just the beginning of your journey through Turkish cuisine. We would be delighted to welcome you back again to learn some new dishes and will continue to send recipes to all of our students on a regular basis.
